What are Solaris Cats Eyes?
Solaris Cats eyes are a new road lighting technology
that uses an internal battery to power flashing LED
lights, which are set into each unit.
What do the flashing light get their power?
Solaris Cats eyes are powered by a Ni-Mh batters (similar
to that used in your mobile phone), these batteries
are then charged by sunlight during the day and to
a lesser extent by vehicle headlights at night.
Do Solaris Cats Eyes Flash 24 hours a day?
No, Solaris Cats Eyes use as photo sensitive cell,
which can sense the level of sunlight. When the ambient
light dissipates at dusk the Photo Sensitive Cell
instructs the Lights to power up and begin flashing,
conversely when sun light returns in the morning the
Cell tells the unit to power down and stop flashing.
What colours do Solaris Cats Eyes Come In?
The units come in a variety of colours that include
white, amber green and red.
How are the units installed?
Solaris Cats eyes are installed in a similar way to
conventional cats eyes. Solaris Road Technology provides
full installation, which is included in the unit cost.
